M. tuberculosis can induce a spectrum of cutaneous changes depending on the route of infection and immunological status of the host.

Classification of   cutaneous tuberculosis:
1. Inoculation tuberculosis. (exogenous source)
2. Secondary tuberculosis. (endogenous source)
3. Haematogenous tuberculosis.
4. Eruptive tuberculosis. 
1. Inoculation Tuberculosis
(exogenous source):

A. Tuberculosis chancre.
B. TVC (warty tuberculosis).
C. Lupus vulgaris (some). 
 
2. Secondary tuberculosis  (endogenous):
A. Contiguous spread:      Scrofuloderma.
B. Auto-inoculation   :     Orificial tuberculosis. 
 
3. Haematogenous tuberculosis:
A. Acute milliary tuberculosis.
B. Lupus vulgaris (some).
C. Tuberculous gumma.
Eruptive tuberculosis (the tuberculides):
A. Micropapular: Lichen scrofulosorum.
B. Papular          : Papular or Papulonecrotic              tuberculide.
 
C. Nodular         : Erythema induratum of   Bazin.
